Our number one commitment is to provide quality and ethical dental care to every patient in our practice. With this commitment, we strive to keep our treatment fees competitive and reasonable. We feel that it is important to inform our patients of planned treatment, treatment fees, insurance payment benefits and patient co-payments prior to treatment provided in our office. Our front-office team will gladly assist you with answers to your questions regarding any costs associated with your treatment.
Our new patients are encouraged to return to our office after their initial examination visit for a consultation with Dr. So to discuss planned treatment, treatment prioritization and timeliness, and go over treatment fees, and insurance benefits and co-payments, when applicable, with our treatment coordinators.
Our office accepts payments in the form of cash, money orders, checks, and all major credit cards. All patients are asked to make definite financial arrangements prior to the start of any treatment.
Payments Required at Each Appointment
Unless prior arrangements are made, all patients are expected to pay in full or their insurance balance co-payment for services the day of their visit.
For patients with accounts receivable (balances due), except for payment plans noted above, the total statement balance is due and payable with ten days of statement mailing. If payment is not made prior to the next statement mailing, finance charges will be assessed to the account.
As a service to our patients, our practice accepts most dental insurance programs, including non-managed care, indemnity (traditional) and PPO in-network and out-of-network. We are not part of any managed care network. Our accounting staff will prepare all the necessary forms for your dental benefits. However, we remind you that your specific policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated. Our staff will gladly submit a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company so that you will know what your benefits will be.
The fees charged for services rendered to those who are insured are the usual and customary fees charged to all our patients for similar services. Your policy may base its allowances on a fixed fee schedule, which may or may not coincide with our usual fees. You should be aware that different insurance companies vary greatly in the types of coverage available. Also, some companies take care of claims promptly while others delay payment for several months.
We will make all professional, ethical, and reasonable attempts to predetermine and collect treatment reimbursement for our patients from their insurance companies. However, patients must assume responsibility for any claim denials and/or non-payments by their insurance companies.
